In the ever-widening mission and ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ellen G. White provided rich instruction, encouragement, and counsel to those connected with the Sabbath School work. Counsel appeared, not only in the earlier numbers of Testimonies for the Church, but also in instructive articles written for the Sabbath School Worker. In 1900, many of these articles were published in a small book known as Testimonies on Sabbath School Work.
Later counsels from Ellen White affecting Sabbath School were combined with those in the original work to form a more comprehensive book: Counsels on Sabbath School Work.
The General Conference Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department appreciates and endorses the work of the Board of Trustees of the Ellen G. White Publications in preparing this compilation, and it is offered here in digital format. A print edition is also avalable for online purchase at the Adventist Book Center.
The material in this enlarged volume appears in topical arrangement, and a table of contents prefaces each of the six sections of the book. Sabbath School officers and teachers, church officers, and conference workers will find this book invaluable in their endeavor to build a stronger Sabbath School. Teacher training classes will find it an essential part of their source material, and every church member may study it with great profit.
